Running when you can’t really run… I’ve been doing 10min “runs” in my basement. Normally the weekly track run is my one quality workout a week. So many times this morning I thought about not going or about quitting. Instead I ran with a much slower pace group and I’m so glad I did!Don’t confuse years with forever or never.I feel like I’ve been shoveling nonstop for days ❄️❄️❄️😮💨💪🏽I loved shoveling at 9 months pregnant and I still do!

Corn and Shrimp Pilaf
If this was a food blog I’d be in trouble. You could grimace a little and then do a sympathetic head tilt and shrug. Again, I have achieved cooking something that I swear is tasty despite looking like crap. Mushy glop. … Continue reading
Lemon Shrimp Pilaf Improv
Last week I was going to make a simple spring meal. Just lemon, shrimp, rice, and dandelion greens. Doesn’t that sound nice? Just go with that inspiration, because things got a little out of hand. I don’t have a recipe … Continue reading

Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix
I love coffee. But sometimes I want a hot beverage and I don’t want caffeine, and I don’t want tea, and I don’t want decaf coffee, and I don’t want super sugary syrupy café hot chocolate, and I don’t want flavorless weak … Continue reading

Leftover remix
I love leftovers. I survive on leftovers. Unless it’s moldy or smelly I’ll heat it and eat it. Sometimes I do end up with too many leftovers. What a first world problem to have. Sometimes I just freeze it and … Continue reading

Cheeseburger Pasta
This isn’t healthy. Well… it’s healthier than if came with fries, or tater tots, or onion rings. Theoretically you could not have beer with it. In theory cooking for yourself is healthier than going out to eat. Unless you eat … Continue reading

Lazy Noms with Condiments
It’s been a while since I blogged. I’ve been busy. We’re all busy. I’m not half as busy as many women out there. I’ll make my excuses anyway. There was an indoor triathlon which I was the race director. Then … Continue reading

Miserable Fun & Granola
I figured out what my life is all about! Well, no, not really. But I figured out what my blog is about: miserable fun! Yup, Type 2 Fun. Fun that isn’t fun until it’s over. I willingly, often eagerly involve … Continue reading

Things not done
Yup. 2014 is over. And these things still aren’t done. Sometime around 2011 I started talking about blogging and getting better at all social media. It took until 2013 before I got the blog up. Literally “learn Twitter & Pintrest” … Continue reading

Sweet Pig Muffins
Sweet savory perfection. Sage breakfast sausage inside apple spice muffins topped with candied bacon. One of my very best creations. I first made these three years ago. The candied bacon is both what makes it special, and a pain in … Continue reading
